The price is going up for admission to Rochester's Party in the Park, the summer-long concert series beginning in June -- to all of five dollars for general admission.

That's double the old price, but still affordable. Mayor Lovely Warren says the increase is necessary to keep a good-quality event.

You can get a "Party Pack" for $35 that gets you tickets to all nine concerts and a special express entry line for each concert. Each event is on Thursday nights from June 19th through August 14th, 5-to-10 p.m.

The 18th annual Party in the Park festival is moving back to Martin Luther King Junior Park - Manhattan Square this year. Windstream is the key sponsor -- and bands will include the Wailers, the Drive-by-Truckers, Lucinda Williams and Trampled by Turtles.
