GENESEE SUN - "Geneseo Police arrested an Avon resident for allegedly stealing two air conditioners when he returned to Walmart.
According to a press release from Geneseo Police Chief Eric Osganian, Everett Ross, 37, was arrested for misdemeanor Petit Larceny.
“Walmart’s video surveillance shows Ross walking in, grabbing a cart, getting the air conditioners and walking out without passing the cashiers,” said Osganian. “After doing some work on our end, we locate him actually at Walmart again. He has a bunch more merchandise and the store’s stoploss prevention is following him. He drops the items and leaves, and we make contact with him and make the arrest for the earlier larceny.”
The two air conditioners are valued at $570.24.
Geneseo Justice Brad Janson arraigned Ross and ordered him held at the Livingston County Jail on $2,500 cash or $5,000 bond."
