Churchville Boy, 10, Died of Fentanyl Overdose

13WHAM - "A man and woman from Churchville were arraigned Thursday afternoon after an unsealed indictment charged them with manslaughter in the death of a ten-year-old boy back in June.

On June 12, Monroe County Sheriff's deputies say J’Vieon Grayson-Sutton was found unconscious by his 6-year-old brother around 9:30 p.m. This happened on Fitch Street in Churchville.

The six-year-old went to a neighbor on Fitch Street, who called 911 and gave J’Vieon CPR. The boy was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital, where he died the next afternoon.

Judge John DeMarco unsealed the indictment Thursday afternoon and charged both Dolfona Grayson and Walter Morse with felony second-degree manslaughter.

Morse was also arraigned on 14 other criminal charges, including one count of attempted murder 1st, one count of assault 2nd, two counts of criminal possession of a weapon 2nd, six counts of criminal use of drug paraphrenalia 2nd, one count of criminal possession of a controlled substance with the intent to sell 5th, and two counts of criminal possession of a narcotic drug 3rd.

During the initial investigation in June, deputies said the mother was at work, and the six-year-old's father was supposed to be watching the kids, but he left them alone for at least an hour.
