Pearl Jam brought their European Tour to Telenor Arena in Fornebu, Norway on Monday night and they dusted off a ton of classics over the course of their 34-song set list. Two major surprises? The live debut of "Strangest Tribe," a song the band released as a Christmas single in 1999.
Just a few songs later Eddie Vedder and Co. dove into The Rolling Stones' "Waiting On A Friend," a song Pearl Jam first performed back on June 23rd, 2006 in Pittsburgh and then played it again a few weeks later at the Santa Barbara Bowl on July 13th.
That means Monday night's take on the song was only the third in Pearl Jam history. But here’s a fun little factoid. The Stones themselves haven't played the song very often as "Waiting On A Friend" has only made nine appearances at Rolling Stones live shows since 1981.
