I'd like to send a big shout out to a Wease Show listener by the name of Michelle Arnold.  She wrote me a couple days ago asking me about my dentist Dr. Sussman at The Center For Cosmetic Dentistry, the work he's done on my teeth, and some dental work she needs (those damn Jolly Ranchers).  In her email she also recommended a band I might like.   She was right.  The band is called The Devil Makes Three, and they're playing at Water Street next week too.

I haven't heard this next song in forever... I love Gregg Allman's soulful delivery on ""Desdemona"...

Whenever I hear Amos Lee I think of him as "The Modern Day James Taylor", meaning no insult to James Taylor, who is still alive and doing music.  This song from Lee is called "Supply and Demand"...

I guess I could've referred to Amos Lee as a "Modern Day Jim Croce"... at least Jim's dead.  I still love Croce's music, and when I hear it it makes me feel good... like that scene in "Django Unchained" where freed slave Django is learning to ride a horse while "I Got A Name" is playing.

This however ISN'T "I Got A Name" (which i guess would've made sense since I just mentioned it).  I want to play "Rapid Roy The Stock Car Boy" for no particular reason, other than I like it.

I love when an artist takes a hit song and covers it, but does something that makes it different.  That's what happened when Wilson Pickett took The Archie's bubblegum classic "Sugar Sugar", and put his own spin on it...
