Later this morning we’ll be speaking to comedian Costaki Economopolis (that's easy for you to say) , who says he specializes in sports comedy, and will be talking to us about the NFL. We talk about other comedians that have sports bits like Frank Caliendo, Rob Riggle, and the famous football bit from Bob Nelson. Remember this?
Local Boy Is A Viral Video Sensation
Noah Ritter is a local boy who has become a viral video sensation after the adorable interview he gave at the Wayne County Fair, talking about the rides he's been on and the fun he's having.
Starting the sports report with a sport we don't talk often about... NASCAR. We speak to Michael Printup from Watkins Glen talking about all the events for this weeks "Cheez-It 355 At The Glen" this weekend from Fri-Sun. All the biggest stars in racing will be in our area this weekend, and we have tickets to give away. One of the ways you can win them is with Billy's Theme Bump Wednesday, where today's bump tunes out of commercials all have something in common. The first two songs today are "Numb" by Linkin Park, and "Sandy" by Bruce Springsteen.
The San Antonio Spurs hired WNBA star Becky Hammon as an assistant coach on Tuesday, making her the first full-time, paid female assistant on an NBA coaching staff. How will the male NBA players react to taking instruction from a woman? It'll be interesting to see.
Marshall Fine Film Reviews
Since we didn't speak to Marsh last week we get his thoughts on "Guardians Of The Galaxy"... he didn't like it as much as most critics or movie goers have. He thought the action was good, but the movie itself was only so-so. Marianne saw it yesterday and agrees with Marshall. Billy disagrees, saying it's his favorite superhero flick since the first two Superman movies with Christopher Reeve.
Wease saw the James Brown movie "Get On Up" yesterday and thought it was great. He says "the kid that played James Brown deserves an award, if only there was something for that". Yeah, imagine if there was an academy of some sort that gave out awards for excellence in films.
Doug With News
We also revisit Western NY's video viral sensation (scroll up), and talk about words that people tend to say wrong (except Wease, who speaks the King's English)
Bonus Content... Baseball's Greatest Squeezes
Save Rochester Soccer
We get a call from local star soccer player Doug Miller about the recent announcement that the Rochester Flash are shutting down operations, and Doug's effort to save the team. He's looking for help in raising money and corporate sponsors to buy the team.
We then talk about the couple that has been arrested for leaving their baby in a hot car for 2 hours. The baby died. How is this an epidemic nowadays? This is a case of not one parent, but both, being amazingly bad.
NFL Ha Ha's
We speak to comedian Costaki Economopolis, who is a regular on the NFL Network, talking about some of the funny stuff that goes on in football. Funny dude who makes Pauly laugh with jokes about the Browns.
Also, after reading this article Billy thinks he is getting brain cancer from having his Kindle under his pillow while sleeping so he can listen to iHeartRadio in the night.
- I went to the movies this weekend and I swear that the warning for people to turn off their cell phones actually caused a couple people to turn their's on. Why are people so rude? I love hearing you bitch about people that annoy you. Who has been rude to you guys recently? Wease talks about something that happened to him at the movies last night where a lady spend time playing Candy Crush during the trailers. Pauly has a guy who is offering to have Pauly come over and cook dinner for him. I wonder if he'll let Pauly do the dishes too.
- Would Wease rather win the World Series Of Poker on TV, or have an all night menage with Jennifer Lawrence and ScarJo, but not be allowed to tell anyone? He chooses the poker in a slam dunk. C'mon Wease!!! He says the threesome might kill him, but you wouldn't be able to close the coffin for two weeks.
- Is it ok that ebola patients are being brought into the U.S.? Wease is fine with it... the patients are being brought here safely, and the hospitals taking care of them are well equipped for the problem.
Leslie is here from Loving Cup to promote the Park Point Music Festival this Friday night. One of the band's playing is Guy Smiley, and Wease wants to know where they got the name. Billy knows the answers... he's a character on Sesame Street, known as "America's Favorite Game Show Host"...
21 year old Michigan Man James Taylor threw a party that 2000 people showed up at... it was debaucherous. Check out this nerd...
