As a morning guy on a rock station and a native Clevelander.. I found this to be a must read.  It's an article on the decline of The Rock-n-Roll Hall of Fame.

In a nutshell, the article argues that with the recent inductions of Hall & Oates, Linda Rondstadt, Peter Gabriel (all of whom the article calls pop) and the past inductions of hip hop artists that the Rock Hall is becoming watered down.

I agree.  I propose a change.  I think that either the Rock-n-Roll Hall of Fame needs to change it's name to something more generic like "The Music Hall of Fame" or "The Recording Artists & Music Hall of Fame" and drop "Rock-n-Roll".

If you don't like that.. how about the Rock Hall stays put but we take all non Rock acts out and start Hall of Fames in different cities for different genres of music.  There could be a "Pop Music Hall of Fame" and/or a "Hip Hop Music Hall of Fame", and Nashville is just itching for a "Country Music Hall of Fame".

Oh well.. just an idea.
