A sunny summer weekend is on tap, and The Wease Show is here to start it off right. We’ll be joined in studio by comedian Mark Curry (Hangin’ With Mr. Cooper, See Dad Run), talking to Marshall Fine about new movies in theaters, giving away concert tickets, and much more.
Start your day off right the same way Wease does… staring at the body of his wife Doreen.
We start the morning off talking about our lunch together yesterday at Murphy's Law watching the World Cup game with a crowd of rabid soccer fans. The US lost to Germany 1-0 (or as they say in soccer.... a blowout), but we still move on to the knockout round. Loss=Win. Lots of listeners have early morning opinions on what we saw yesterday, and share with us.
Why did Johnny start his sports report with the NBA Draft, and not the soccer game. Was Tools being a sports d-bag? He defends himself with the argument that everyone already knew about the soccer game because it was yesterday afternoon, where as the basketball draft was last night.
Wease is still arguing about callers about soccer, and the weird scoring system, and who gets to advance. Eventually a caller was able to get Wease to sort of agree with her.

Marshall Fine Film Reviews
Marsh is in Nantucket at a film festival, and had lousy reception, but we talk to him a bit about movies coming out, even though he didn't see this week's new big blockbuster, "Transformers 4: Age Of Extinction". It's machines fighting... you either like it or you don't.

Did you see the video of Nancy Grace telling a dad that his missing son was alive?
Listeners call to ask Wease about the gambling bust in town, and what he knows about it. Is he the "celebrity" alluded to on a Ch. 10 story last night?
Hangin' With Mr. Cooper (Day 2)
Actor/Comedian Mark Curry is back in studio with us. Besides the sitcoms he's starred in he also seems to specialize in music videos with small rappers... he's been in videos with Too Short, and Lil Bow Wow. He also had a game show called "Don't Forget Your Toothbrush", and performed at Comic Relief...
A discussion about celebrities, and things they don't want brought up... like Jimmie Walker doesn't like talking about "Good Times", and the time Wease interviewed Ron Pallilo (Horshack from "Welcome Back Kotter') and pissed him off. We ask Mark about a bad story about him, where former costar Raven Symone said he has Alzheimers.
Mark said he asked Raven about this and she says she never said it.
Movie Star Meltdown
Where in the world is Shia LaBeouf? Currently, a jail cell. According to "Variety," the actor was escorted out of a performance of the Broadway production of "Cabaret" in handcuffs during intermission after being "disruptive" and smoking in the theater during the first act.
As cast member Danny Burstein wrote on twitter, “Ladies and gentlemen, this is your places call for Act II. Also, to let you know, Shia LaBeouf has just been escorted from the building in handcuffs. Yep, that just happened." Actor Benj Pasek tweeted that LaBeouf was in tears and surrounded by six officers as he left. One passerby happened to snap a blurry picture of LaBeouf as he was being walked out and posted it on Instagram
