Retired Deputy Murdered Man to Silence Allegations of Sexual Abuse

Joseph Mlyniec, 60, pleaded not guilty to 2nd degree murder and intimidating a witness/victim.

The Perry town board member and former Wyoming County Sheriff's deputy is accused of shooting and killing Robert Irvine III, 32, on March 7. 

Irvine was shot 4 times in the driveway of Mlyniec's home on Route 246 in the town of Perry. 

Mlyniec shot Irvine "for the purpose of obstructing, delaying, preventing or impeding the communication" of info on an alleged sexual abuse.

Mlyniec will remain in the Wyoming County Jail without bail.
