UPDATE: Police have arrested Travis Reinking.
The man who police say went on a half-naked rampage inside a Waffle House in Tennessee killing four people has a lengthy history with police. Travis Reinking was arrested last July by Secret Service agents when he entered a restricted area near the White House and wanted to meet President Donald Trump. He told agents he was a "sovereign citizen" and demanded, "to inspect the grounds."
After his arrest, police confiscated his weapons, including the AR-15 that he used in the Waffle House shooting. Police said that Reinking's father reclaimed the guns from the police and returned them to his son.
In June 2017, a police report states that Reinking went to a public pool, jumped in the water and stripped off his clothing. As he got out of the pool he exposed himself to the lifeguards. The pool decided not to press charges against him.
In 2016, he was stopped by police in a CVS parking lot. He told police that pop singer Taylor Swift was hacking his phone and stalking him. He claimed that she hacked his Netflix account a few weeks earlier and told him to meet her at Dairy Queen.
A paramedic told the responding officer that Reinking was "delusional" and believed that Taylor Swift was harassing him by stalking and hacking his phone, the report states.
"Travis believed everyone including his own family and the police are involved," the officer said in the report. "Travis stated he did not want to hurt Taylor Swift or anyone else, he only wanted the harassment to stop."
