Plush Dozier, 22, became upset with his girlfriend and during a heated argument, he allegedly set her on fire. Dozier is facing attempted murder and arson charges.
Crews arrived on scene at a home on Maple Street in Batavia around 12:45 a.m. for the report of a fire.
Children were also in the apartment, but made it out safely.
The victim is in stable condition.
Dozier was arraigned and remanded to the Genesee County Jail without bail.
