New York State Police are investigating after a car slammed into a guardrail on a bridge over 490 in Rochester. The New York State Department of Transportation inspected the bridge and deemed it safe. Troopers said the driver was leaving a bar when she lost control and crashed on the Alexander Street overpass around 2:40 a.m. Pieces of concrete broke off the bridge and fell onto the highway. Police are investigating if alcohol was involved.The driver was taken to the hospital.
