Singer Demi Lovato Hospitalized After Heroin Overdose

Demi Lovato was rushed to a Los Angeles hospital after suffering what appears to be a heroin overdose, TMZreported on Tuesday (July 24).

According to law enforcement sources, the pop star was transported from a home in the Hollywood Hills just before noon on Tuesday and is currently being treated. At time of press, her condition is unknown. As all of her fans know, Lovato has fought substance abuse for several years. In late June, the singer admitted that she relapsed on her six-year sobriety streak on her new song, "Sober."

On her recently released ballad, Lovato sings about not being sober anymore and it's a candid reflection on her recent misstep with the help of producers M-Phazes, Tushar Apte, and RØMANS. "Momma, I'm so sorry, I'm not sober anymore/ And daddy, please forgive me for the drinks spilled on the floor/ To the ones who never left me/ We've been down this road before/ I'm so sorry, I'm not sober anymore," she sings with conviction, before an echo of coos fill the track during the chorus.
