A Batavia father was murdered when he tried to attempt to intervene in a physical altercation between a man and woman. Police say Michael Paladino Jr., 43, was stabbed by Quinton Edmonds, 31 around midnight Saturday. Paladino was found bleeding on the floor of the entry way to an apartment building. Paladino was transported to UMMC and later died due to his injuries. Paladino has three children. Police later apprehended Edmonds. He faces second degree murder charges. He is being held in the Genesee County Jail.
