The Lyons Central School District is closed Wednesday while authorities look for a man accused of robbing the 7-Eleven in Phelps. Investigators say they are looking for Brandon Burgess of Lyons, who is accused of walking into the convenience store Tuesday armed with a gun and leaving with an undisclosed amount of cash. Deputies say the 28-year-old fled the scene in a stolen vehicle, but later abandoned it. Authorities say Burgess is believed to be armed and dangerous. Anyone with information is asked to call 911.
