Hilton School Officials Investigate After Objects Thrown at Marching Band

Parents in Hilton are calling on the district to take action after members of the High School's Crimson Cadets Marching Band band was harassed at a homecoming game. Members of the band say students threw garbage and rocks at them. Members also heard homophobic slurs.Hilton Superintendent Dr. Casey Kosiorek said they take the safety of staff and students seriously. "We're investigating and if consequences are warranted, they will be assigned," said Kosiorek. The district plans to increase security, supervisors, and add chaperones to escort the band on and off the field going forward.
