A fan has paid Sugar Ray frontman Mark McGrath to break up with her boyfriend. The gig was arranged through Cameo, an app through which people can hire celebrities to deliver personalized messages. IOn this case, a user named Cheyenne hired McGrath to video record a breakup message for her boyfriend, Brayden. In the clip, McGrath tells him Cheyenne is "having difficulty staying in this long-distance relationship" and she "wants to be friends right now, bro." While Cheyenne might appear to be cold for hiring a surrogate, it turns out she actually did it to soften the blow. Sugar Ray is Brayden's favorite band, she says. Even McGrath seemed dedicated to letting the poor guy down easy. "I wish I was delivering you good news," he says in the video. "Hopefully I can see you backstage, give you a high-five someday."
