Peter Frates, the inspiration behind "The Ice Bucket Challenge", has died at the age of 34 from complications of ALS. The former athlete's family created the viral challenge in 2012. In what can only be considered a true silver lining in Peter's death.. the challenge has raised over $100 million to date to fight ALS.
