The IRS will be mailing you a letter after you receive your stimulus check. The letter will be sent to taxpayers 15 days after they get the cash. According to the IRS, the letter will provide information on how the payment was made. It will also tell you how to report if you never received a payment. The IRS is warning people not to give out information to someone you don't know. Contact the FBI if you think you're being targeted by a scammer.
