Police from several towns in Monroe County are investigating car thefts in which investigators say suspects are often using a "bait and switch" scheme. In one incident, the victim was told he had a flat tire. When he got out to check, the suspects got in the car and drove off. In each incident the victims got out of the car for some reason or another. Firearms have also been used in some instances, yet no one has been injured. Police would not yet give a description of the cars or suspects, yet they did say the suspects are believed to be in their late teens.
