As Gov. Andrew Cuomo announced, beginning today if you are fully vaccinated you do not need to a wear mask to indoor or outdoor venues. Businesses still can enforce their own mask rules if they choose, which of course is their purgative but it can create some confusion. What businesses require what? Well, here's a list of what we have so far:
BJ’S WHOLESALE CLUB
Will no longer require customers or employees who are fully vaccinated to wear masks. Unvaccinated people must still wear a face covering inside all locations.
CHIPOTLE MEXICAN GRILL
Will not require masks for fully vaccinated customers, but will still require them for employees.
CMAC
All attendees must show proof of vaccination. Reopening at 100% capacity. No masks required.
COSTCO
Fully vaccinated members and guests are allowed to enter without a face mask or shield. Face coverings are still required in healthcare settings, such as the pharmacy,.
CVS
Customers who are fully vaccinated do not have to wear face coverings. Customers who are not fully vaccinated are asked to continue wearing them. Employees are required to while working.
DICK’S SPORTING GOODS
Fully vaccinated customers are no longer required to wear face coverings.
FRONTIER FIELD
Vaccinated fans will no longer have to wear masks. Unvaccinated fans will still have to wear masks. The Red Wings still encourage all fans to wear a mask unless actively eating or drinking in their seat.
GEORGE EASTMAN MUSEUM
Masks will be required for all guests through May 31, as the museum evaluates the new guidance.
GREECE RIDGE MALL, MARKETPLACE MALL, and EASTVIEW MALL
Wilmorite is allowing individual stores to decide how to handle the new guidelines for employees and customers. The company says it's still considering how to apply the new standards to common mall areas.
McDONALDS
All customers must still wear face coverings.
ROCHESTER MUSEUM AND SCIENCE CENTER
Any guests not fully vaccinated, including children 3-11, must be masked. Masks aren’t required for people who are fully vaccinated, but they are still encouraged.
SENECA PARK ZOO
Unvaccinated individuals will still have to wear masks, including young people between the ages of 2-12. The zoo is using timed tickets and is encouraging visitors to reserve a time for their visit online. They are relaxing rules for Vaccinated people.
STARBUCKS
No longer required to wear masks in store if fully vaccinated.
STONEYARD BREWING COMPANY
You are no longer required to wear a mask indoors if you've been fully vaccinated. The entire staff has been vaccinated. If you are not vaccinated please wear a mask anytime you are not seated. Maintain social distancing.
STRONG NATIONAL MUSEUM OF PLAY
They are keeping their current masking guidelines until at least the end of May. The museum says it's still evaluating what it will do.
TARGET
Target will no longer require fully vaccinated guests and team members to wear face coverings, except where it’s required by local ordinances.
TOPS
Face coverings are optional for those who are fully vaccinated. The company says unvaccinated people, including all individuals age 2 and older who are able to medically tolerate a face covering, must continue to wear them
TRADER JOES
No longer required to wear masks in store if fully vaccinated.
WALMART
Fully vaccinated customers will not need to wear a mask except where required by state or local laws. Employees who are fully vaccinated do not need to wear a mask while working at its stores, offices, or other facilities.
WEGMANS
"In accordance with the latest CDC guidance, fully vaccinated customers are no longer required to wear a face-covering in our stores." This is specific to New York stores.
