Legendary insult comic Don Rickles has passed away at the age of 90 in his Los Angeles home from kidney failure. The honorary Rat Pack member had a career that spanned six decades and was known for his abrasive style and celebrity roasts.
Known as "The Merchant of Venom" and "Mr. Warmth," Rickles' club performances were a staple in standup comedy, and his well-known signature keyphrases “dummy” and “hockey puck” were mainstays of his act. He appeared in such movies as "Run Silent, Run Deep," "Kelly's Heroes" and "Casino." He also found success later in his career as the voice of Mr. Potato Head in the “Toy Story” films.
Rickles’ survivors include his wife Barbara; a daughter and a son; and two grandchildren.
