Over 180 birds, 55 of them being game birds were found after an illegal cockfighting ring bust!
7 out of 42 people in the bust were from the Rochester area.
The six month investigation in the Town of Frankfort in Herkimer County also led to over $68,000 in cash from a barn in Frankfort.
THOSE ARRESTED FROM ROCHESTER:
54-year-old Marcelino Cintra
61-year-old Eixton Flores
40-year-old Jose Torres
32-year-old Yordanis Plaza-Lopez
42-year-old Eider Diaz
63-year-old Ramon Rivera
52-year-old Angel Rivera
They were all charged with engaging in animal fighting for amusement.
Plaza-Lopez was also found with over 100 grams of heroin.
