Bloomfield Assault Victim May Not Survive

The man accused of a brutal beating in Ontario County was arraigned in East Bloomfield Town Court Thursday afternoon.  David Witherow is accused of assaulting a man and continued beating him after he was unconscious. 

According to 13WHAM,  the prosecutor assigned to the case said the victim might not survive. The victim has severe brain injuries, broken eye sockets and might lose his vision. New York State Police said the assault began when Witherow found his wife kissing another man, her ex-boyfriend, in a bar parking lot. Witherow pleaded not guilty and is being held in jail on $50,000 bail. 

The case will now be transferred to Ontario County Court.
