LCN - "Geneseo police arrested two people July 25 for allegedly stealing nearly $200 worth of merchandise from Walmart in the village.
Police allege 25-year-old Cameron Velazquez, from Mount Morris, and 29-year-old Tiffany Brown, from Hemlock stole two Sound Bars, a type of speaker, from the Veteran Drive superstore.
Both were apprehended shortly after they’d left the store and are scheduled to appear in Geneseo Village Court Aug. 8.
Velazquez was on parole at the time of his alleged crime and was wanted by New York’s Division of Parole. He was therefore turned over to deputies at the Livingston County Jail to be held until his court appearance.
Brown was issued an appearance ticket.
According to New York’s Department of Corrections and Community Supervision, Velazquez was convicted of third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance in the third degree, a class B felony, in 2016 and sentenced to one year in prison."
