"Meet little Amoré, she was taken in by Rescued Treasures last night and as emergencies go it is after all vet offices are closed is when the call comes. My friend and one of the founders of RTPA Sheryl Little went right out to get this little one. She was taken to Monroe Veterinary Associates and as you know, their services are not inexpensive. 24/7 Acute/ICU care is not without great cost. Amoré is there for stabilization and pain management. RTPA will consult with doctors on monday to see about cost of amputating her leg. She was found lying on the ground with some kids poking her with sticks. A kind lady stopped to see what they were doing and picked her right up. The stickers are not meant to be cute they are covering the most graphic part of her injury. 1/2 her leg is gone and the bone is left protruding. She was trying to walk on it still.
