Axl Rose Blasts VP Mike Pence For NFL Walkout "PR Stunt"

Axl Rose rarely ever tweets. When the Guns N' Roses frontman uses the platform it's usually to post a pic of his cat or thanking the city he last performed in. Recently, he's had Donald Trump and his cabinet in his sights. After Vice President Mike Pence's highly publicized walkout at an Indianapolis Colts game due to San Francisco 49ers players taking a knee, Axl sarcastically thanked the White House for the "PR Stunt."

Rose, who is an Indiana native, criticized Pence for using American taxpayers dollars for the $242,500 travel expense. "Thanks WH 4 the $200k Colts game PR stunt," he tweeted

Many have called Pence's walkout a PR stunt, claiming that the Vice President knew the players were going to kneel. Pence's Twitter post and immediate support from President Trump seem to back up criticism that it was pre-orchestrated.

Members of Pearl Jam, Prophets of Rage, and Stevie Wonder have "taken a knee" onstage in solidarity with the NFL players who are demanding awareness and change to the racial injustices in America. Corey Taylor has defended the players, saying they have "every right to take a knee.”
