Macedon Walmart Employee Arrested for Grand Larceny

TimesofWayneCounty - "Macedon Police reported the arrest on Friday (10/14) of Melissa Edington, age 46, of West Walworth Road in the Town of Macedon.

Edington was a cash office employee at the Walmart store on Route 31 in Macedon. On September 24th, management discovered $456 in cash missing from their bottle return system that Edington had access to. That led to a charge of Petit Larceny.

An investigation began on past transactions Edington had access for. It was discovered Edington allegedly stole gift cards destined for the Children’s Miracle Network and other lost customer cards totaling $2230. She was then charged with Grand Larceny in the Fourth Degree and released on appearance tickets for Macedon Court on October 24th.

According to police, more charges may be pending once a detailed search of records is complete. No information was released on how long Edington had worker at the Walmart store.

A record check showed Edington has prior convictions for Grand Larceny and Petit Larceny."
