WHEC - "The Irondequoit Police Department has arrested a 23-year-old Rochester man for assault in connection to an early Sunday morning incident.
According to IPD, 23-year-old Kevin Rodriguez hit Irondequoit native Nicolas Childs in the head with a wooden object at the Rookies Bar on 716 East Ridge Road around 2:15 a.m. on Sunday. Childs was knocked unconscious and was transported to Strong Memorial Hospital, where he is currently in satisfactory condition.
The arrest was made after an extensive investigation that involved witnesses and community members. Rodriguez was arraigned in Irondequoit Town Court on Tuesday before being sent to Monroe County Jail with bail set to $200,000/$400,000. He will return to court on Friday."
