13 WHAM - "An investigation is underway after an inmate died Friday morning at the Livingston County Jail.
A man was arrested early Friday morning on DWAI-drugs and criminal possession of a hypodermic instrument charges.
After the suspect was booked, he was placed in a cell until he could be arraigned later in the morning.
When jail deputies went to the man's cell, he was unresponsive and not breathing. Deputies and Livingston County EMS attempted to give the man life-saving measures, but were unable to revive him.
The man's name is not being released yet. The death is under investigation but no foul play is suspected.
The New York State Commission of Corrections was notified and will also conduct an investigation as is policy."
