13 WHAM - "The Irondequoit man accused of hitting and killing a man with his car while drunk pleaded not guilty to charges against him Tuesday morning.
Michael Roderiques, 27, of Irondequoit, is charged with hitting the man shortly after 2 a.m. Monday. That man was pronounced dead on the scene.
A sworn statement from the Rochester Police officer who responded to the scene said Roderiques told him he had a "couple shots" and "smoked a couple bowls" before driving.
"I didn't even know I hit somebody until my window was smashed," Roderiques said to the officer at the scene.
Roderiques was cooperative with police on scene, submitting a blood sample."
"Court paperwork shows Roderiques was convicted of DWAI-alcohol on July 13, 2016.
Roderiques is scheduled to be back in court on November 24 at 10:30 a.m"
