13WHAM - "A Farmington man was arrested last Thursday after an animal cruelty investigation by the Ontario County Humane Society.
On November 23, investigators said they were called to a home on Third Street in Farmington for the report of a dog locked in a shed."
"Callers said a four-year-old pitbul named Blade had been locked in a shed for at least two days and could be heard whining and barking.
Investigators arrived and found Blade locked in the shed without any food or water. The dog was inside a wire metal shed with no bottom, bedding or insulation.
Blade was also reportedly found to be standing in his own feces. The temperature inside the shed was 37 degrees.
Deputies arrested the dog’s owner, 27-year-old Marcos Perez, and charged him with failure to provide sustenance to a confined animal and cruelty to an animal, having an inadequate shelter, unvaccinated and unlicensed dog.
Blade remains in the care of the Ontario County Humane Society.
Perez is scheduled to appear in Farmington Town Court at a later date to answer the charges.
