13 WHAM - "A Rochester-area doctor is facing child pornography charges.
David Blasczak is accused of receiving and possessing child pornography, according to federal prosecutors. Blasczak is a doctor who practiced medicine at the Clyde Family Health Center through Finger Lakes Health. His name and information were initially posted on the Health Center's website, then were removed after news of his arrest broke on Thursday afternoon."
"Prosecutors said Blasczak is accused of making several purchases from a website associated with child pornography. A search of his home Thursday turned up more than 1,000 images and videos of child pornography. Blasczak admitted to downloading child pornography from the online site and paid $100 per file. Prosecutors say each purchase contained thousands of images or videos.
When asked what kinds of material he possessed, prosecutors say Blasczak specifically used the word "prepubescent."
While being interviewed by federal investigators, Blasczak said he never abused patients but admitted to taking photographs of the private parts of eight child patients. At the time, Blasczak reportedly told parents he was doing so for research, according to prosecutors. Prosecutors say he admitted to taking the photographs for his, "own gratification."
They say he also admitted having sexual behavior with his daughter’s friends during sleepovers. He reportedly admitted to touching a minor while they were sleeping and photographing them.
Blasczak is in custody and is scheduled to be back in federal court Friday.
Federal investigators said they wanted to reach out to as many people as possible in case they believe they were abused by Blasczak at any time he was their physician.
