Heroin dealer arrested, linked to Geneseo man's overdose death

13 WHAM - "A man from Pavilion is facing felony charges after deputies say he sold a Geneseo man heroin that led to a fatal overdose.

In June 2017, a 34-year-old man from Geneseo died of a heroin overdose. Investigators with the Livingston County Sheriff's Office determined that 38-year-old Steven Rigoni sold the heroin to the man."

"On Friday, Rigoni was arrested and charged with felony third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance.

Rigoni was arraigned and remanded to the Livingston County Jail in lieu of $10,000 cash bail or $20,000 bond.

Sheriff Tom Dougherty said the arrest is a reminder to people selling illegal drugs in Livingston County.

"Every drug related death in this county will continue to be thoroughly investigated by Deputy Sheriffs and if you are found to be the seller, you will be held accountable," Sheriff Dougherty said."
