TimesofWayneCounty - "State Police out of Lyons responded to a one vehicle accident on Route 31 in the Town of Lyons on Wednesday (1/24) at 6:46 p.m.
When the troopers arrived the car was fully engulfed in flames after he drove up on a guardrail and the driver had left the scene. A nearby neighbor approached the troopers and said a female knocked on his door and she was soaking wet stating she had just been in an accident. He added he got her a towel and some dry clothes.
Troopers went in to the residence where Amber Hulsizer, age 28, of 106 West Avenue in the Village of Newark, was sitting on a couch. The troopers believed she was in an intoxicated condition and asked her to step outside. She refused all tests and as the trooper was helping her up, punched him in the face. She was taken down and placed into custody.
Hulsizer admitted she was driving the car, was under the influence and “Drank a ton.” She was charged with Felony Driving While Intoxicated, Refusal to Submit to a Breath Test, Resisting Arrest, Harassment in the Second Degree and vehicle traffic violations.
Records show Hulsizer was convicted of DWI in June of 2012, after her arrest by Newark Village Police. She was arraigned on the new DWI charges and remanded to jail on $2500 cash/$5000 bond to reappear in Lyons Town Court on Tuesday, January 30th."
