13 WHAM - "A Brighton firefighter was arrested at a restaurant in Ontario on weapons-related charges Monday evening.
According to our news partners at the Times of Wayne County, 47-year-old Paul Angotti was at Konstantinou's Restaurant on Rt. 104 near Furnace Road around 9:45 p.m."
"Angotti allegedly got into an argument with the bartender and several other customers at the restaurant while intoxicated.
State Police say Angotti went into the bathroom, plugged the toilet with toilet paper, urinated on the floor, and wiped soap all over the mirror. When he was asked to leave, Angotti allegedly pulled out a 9mm handgun and threatened the bartender and several customers.
Staff and several customers wrestled the gun away from him, called police and held him down until troopers arrived. The handgun was determined to be registered to Angotti.
Angotti was charged with second-degree menacing and second-degree criminal possession of a loaded weapon. He was arraigned and remanded to the Wayne County Jail in lieu of $1,500 cash or $3,000 bond. He posted bail the following morning.
Angotti is scheduled to be back in court on February 20.
