FLTimes - "A Clyde-Savannah Elementary School employee is accused of stealing thousands of dollars from the Parent Teacher Group account.
Julie A. Riviello, 41, of Hill Street, was charged Friday by Wayne County Sheriff’s Office investigators with third-degree grand larceny and second-degree forgery. Both are felonies.
Riviello was arrested following an investigation that started earlier this month. The sheriff’s office was alerted about missing funds from a Parent Teacher Group bank account after a school official tried to make a withdrawal but learned there was almost no money in the account."
"Police did not say how much money Riviello is accused of stealing. The threshold for third-degree grand larceny is $3,000 to $50,000.
Police did say Riviello wrote Parent Teacher Group checks to herself and forged another member’s signature on the checks to make them appear genuine. She also is accused of transferring funds directly from the Parent Teacher Group account into her personal account.
Riviello was arraigned in Galen court and remanded to the Wayne County Jail in lieu of $25,000 bail or $30,000 bond."
