Brighton Supervisor Calls for Downsizing of Whole Foods

Brighton Supervisor Bill Moehle is calling on the Daniele Family to reduce the size of its planned Whole Foods Plaza on Monroe Avenue.

The supervisor said today downsizing the project's footprint will protect the surrounding neighborhoods from too much traffic. He also called on the Daniele's to enter a permanent agreement to prohibit access from their plaza to Clover Street or Allen's Creek Roads, both moves aimed at addressing neighborhood concerns.

Moehle says with these changes, the Whole Foods development could be a win-win for the entire community. And he says if the Daniele's agree to his proposed changes the Brighton Town Board will consider an environmental findings statement at its March 28th meeting.
