TheDailyNews - "A chocolate lab named Hershey who alerted his family to a second-story fire Tuesday night is doing just fine after initially feared dead.
Tom McGory, deputy fire coordinator with the Livingston County Office of Emergency Management, was investigating the cause of a fire at a River Road residence in York Tuesday when he learned that the owners of the home were missing one of their two dogs, a rescue named Hershey.
The owners told McGory that Hershey had a bed in the corner of the basement that he liked to go when he was upset or feeling unsafe."
