A woman was struck by a car early Thursday morning near East Main and Beechwood Streets. Police say the 26-year-old victim was hit by a 24-year-old woman who was trying to run over her ex-boyfriend. The victim was transported to Rochester General Hospital with minor injures. Police said the suspect drove onto the sidewalk, hit the victim, and then fled the scene. Officers found the suspect and vehicle on Herkimer Street, where they took her into custody. The suspect was charged with Assault, DWI, and Leaving the Scene of an Accident. Police have not released any names.
