Group in Orleans County Charged With Selling "Gray Death"

A group from Rochester is accused of selling and distributing fentanyl, also known as "Gray Death." According to the Orleans County Major Crimes Task Force, Giovanni Serrano, 19, Carlos Serrano, 21, Nelvin Raul Martinez, 18 and a 15-year-old sold the drugs to a number of people from Orleans County. The Rochester Police department, ICE, Homeland Security, and the Albion Police Department seized 37 grams of fentanyl, six grams of heroin, marijuana, and more than $7,000 in cash from the suspects' homes. All four are charged with Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree. Investigators say Giovanni Serrano is currently on probation for a violent felony regarding a weapons charge in Monroe County. Giovanni Serrano is being held in the Orleans County jail on $250,000 cash bail or $500,000 bond. Carlos Serrano and Nelvin Raul Martinez are in the Orleans County Jail on $100,000 cash bail or $200,000 bond.
