A police officer in Ohio was fired for using the badge to deal with personal issues. The officer tried to arrest her daughter's boyfriend during a traffic stop last month. Patrolman John Kovach reportedly didn't approve of the relationship. Investigators said during this time dispatchers tried to send Kovach on another call, but he did not respond. An internal investigation found that the traffic stop was unwarranted and that he violated the department's standards of conduct during the entire incident. Kovach is appealing his dismissal.
