Watch 'Game of Thrones' Hodor Actor Get Guitar Lesson from Megadeth

It's time we start giving Kristian Nairn his due.

Between playing one of the most beloved characters on Game of Thrones to being a successful club DJ and being super tall, we were already pretty impressed. But now, Nairn has revealed himself to be a metal head and a pretty damn good guitar player!

Footage from backstage at France's Hellfest metal festival, shows Nairn warming up with thrash metal legends Megadeth

Megadeth lead guitarist Kiko Loureiro recently shared video to Facebook of frontman Dave Mustaine and bassist Dave Ellefson giving the actor Nairn a lesson in how to play the Rust in Peace classic "Holy Wars...the Punishment Is Due" while drummer Dirk Verbeuren plays along on an electric kit behind them.

Nairn appears to be playing Loureiro's own signature Ibanez KIKO100 electric guitar.

Mustaine can be seen giving Nairn some pointers on the song's infamous intro riff that has eluded many aspiring thrashers over the years. To see Mustaine himself play the riff slow for his benefit must have been a thrill for Nairn.

Nairn later hopped on stage to introduce Megadeth to the massive Hellfest audience.

Nairn has played guitar since he was a teenager. In may he shared his first-ever headshot with his followers. The black and white photo depicts an 18-year-old Nairn with flowing long dark hair, wearing a nose ring and a light-colored sweater. He's clutching what appears to be Fender Stratocaster and looking very serious.

In the caption Nairn describes himself as "A strange hybrid of Meatloaf and Saint Brigid."
