Chicago Police K-9 Helps Find $10 Million In Marijuana

Chicago police are praising Jayda, a police dog from Matteson that helped officers make a $10 million pot bust last week.

Officers with the CPD narcotics unit pulled over a vehicle Thursday night in Midlothian, as part of an ongoing organized crime investigation.

The K9 smelled drugs in a vehicle and trailer, and investigators ended up seizing more than 1,500 pounds of marijuana.

Police posted pictures of the dog and its bounty on Facebook, and the post has been shared more than 5,000 times.
