School President Retires After Denying Valedictorian Chance to Speech

Jaisaan Lovett became the first African American valedictorian at The University Preparatory Charter School for Young Men in Rochester. Unfortunately, he was not allowed to give his valedictory speech at his graduation. As a result, The Board of Trustees of the University Preparatory Charter School for Young Men (UPrep) announced Monday that it has accepted the retirement of the school’s president, Joseph Munno.
