Orleans County Deputy Banned From Being Officer

A former deputy for the Orleans County Sheriff's Office is losing his badge for good. Tom Marano, 46, claimed 240 hours at a hydroelectric plant while on the clock working as a sheriff's deputy. As part of a plea deal, the felony charges were reduced to a misdemeanor. He did not get jail time and won't serve probation. However, the judge overseeing the case said Marano could no longer work as a police officer.
