Bronson the Cat Needs to Slim Down

posted by Kimberly and Beck Show -

Bronson the cat, weighed in at a whopping 33lbs when he was dropped off  at the West Michigan Humane Society. His owner had passed away.

Because the previous owner fed him table scraps, his belly grew to be 32 inches.

NOW, the giant cat has been put on a strict weight loss plan by his adoptive owners after they vowed to help him lose weight!

Bronson wanted to take a second to thank all of his new fans and also everybody that’s been cheering him on since the begining❤️ He’s also asked us to let everybody know about his blog we’re in the process of putting together. We’ve been getting a lot of questions asking about his current diet, exercise routine and advice for feline weight loss. We want his blog to be a place where we explain all of that information. It’s been hard to answer so many questions, so the point would be to have a centralized place with all that info. . We also just started a Facebook page for him. It's mostly for people that have requested it who don't have IG, but we're also going to be posting a little different content on there, in case people are following both accounts. There's a link to his new FB page in his bio. Thanks! 🙏❤️ . . . #weightloss #weightwatchers #weightlossjourney #weightlossmotivation #weightlosstransformation #gobronsongo #getbronsonskinny #gato_cats #cats_ofinstagram #cat_features #catstagramcat #excellent_cats #bestmeow #bestcats_oftheworld #sweetcatclub #thedodo #catsofworld

Here are a couple videos of failed attempts at today’s exercise routine. Last month we started carrying Bronson downstairs once a day so that to get back to his favorite place (which is the bed) he would need to make the trip up the stairs. After a few times we started worrying about him doing damage to his joints on the stairs and decided to hold off until he loses a little more weight. We’ve posted a couple videos of him going up and down the stairs in the past, if you would like to have a look. After that we started instead moving his food dish around the room as he’s eating to promote walking. When Bronson walks, it’s only to reach his destination and then he lays back down. So right now “eat walking” is half his exercise and playing with toys while laying down is his other half. Bronson currently has an upper respiratory infection, so even playing with toys is a little much. After about 30 seconds he starts sneezing and breathing heavy. We spoke with his vet about this today and they suggested to be on the safe side, and to hold off a little until he starts feeling better. #exercisemotivation #exercise #exerciseroutine #weightloss #weightlossjourney #weightlosstransformationv

So, the baby scale we bought Bronson must be for newborn babies or something. Every time we try to get him on it, it kind of wildly rocks back and forth. We tried putting wedges at either side of the scale, waiting until he was balanced and then pulling the wedges out, but it didn’t work great. This scale read 31.3lbs for him, which is down .1 lb from two weeks ago. . . Then we tried weighing him on a people scale with Megan carrying him on his “transportation pillow” and he weighed 31.5.lbs. Our vet warned us that his weight is going to be different from scale to scale and the baby scale should be more exact so for now we’re going with that weight. . Another issue is that he’s been sick the last couple weeks and we’ve pulled back on our exercise routine because of this. We just purchased a new scale from amazon that we’ll have it in the next couple days, so we will do another weigh-in. . After that we’re going to be doing weigh-ins every week rather then once a month. This way we will be able to make changes to what we’re doing throughout the month if his weight isn’t dropping. . . #weightloss #weightlossjourney #weightlosstransformation #weightlossmotivation #gobronsongo #getbronsonskinny #gato_cats #cats_ofinstagram #cat_features #catstagramcat #excellent_cats #bestmeow #bestcats_oftheworld #sweetcatclub #thedodo #catsofworld
