The man who opened fire Sunday at an online video game tournament won a Madden tournament in Buffalo last year. David Katz, 24, opened fire Sunday at an online video game tournament that was being livestreamed from a Florida mall. Two people were killed and nine others hospitalized. People trampled each other in the panic while trying to get away. Katz shot and killed himself after the attack. Police have not released a possible motive. Katz had been eliminated from the tournament before he opened fire. Katz was the winner of their "Madden 17" Championship, held at (716) Food and Sport restaurant in downtown Buffalo.
