Delta is now the third U.S. airline to increase checked bagged fees in just a matter of weeks. It's now gonna cost you $30 to check your bag, and a second bag is gonna cost you $40. Back in August, JetBlue started the trend of increasing baggage fees and United then followed suit of increasing the fee from $25 to $30. Most say the cause for increase on baggage fees is because of rising fuel prices. United hasn't raised their prices yet, and Southwest is still the only airline that allows two free checked bags.
