An area in Gates and Chili has been named one of the hottest zip codes in the U.S. According to Realtor.com, properties with the zip code 14624 are selling faster than most homes across the country. Realtor.com analyzed more than 30,000 zip codes across the nation and ranked them based on how long homes stay on the market and how often people search online to find homes in that zip code. Zip code 14624 came in at number nine, making the list for the first time. This area is near the airport. The homes in this area relatively affordable, residents there are employed at higher rates and tend to earn more, and buyers in this area have great credit. There were a few zip codes in the Rochester area that ranked high, but not hot enough to make the top 10, including 14526 in Penfield, 14616 in Greece, and 14617 in Irondequiot.
